The Bard Veterinary Group takes its name and logo from Scotland's most famous poet Robert Burns whose statue stands in the centre of Dumfries town.

Sally - joined us in 1998, and did her initial nurse training at the Barony College. She now works part time as a receptionist/nurse.

Helen - joined us in November 1992, soon after the Bard originated. Helen is an "old school" vet nurse, qualifying in 1992 from Hutton College, Preston.

Nic - our veterinary surgical nurse joined us in 2005 having just arrived in Scotland from New Zealand. She qualified as a vet nurse in 2000, and does a great job caring for your pets when they are in for surgery.

Lesley - Joined the practice in 2005. She has started her nurses training and we have every confidence she will become a fully fledged nurse in 2 to 3 years time.

She became a new mum to a fine baby girl in August 2009.

There are two more additions to our nursing team Gemma who is starting from the bottom and is making great progress in becoming a practice nurse and Eilidh who I am pleased to say has just gained her nursing qualification through the Barony College. We wish them both well and look forward to many years nursing from them.

Our nursing team prove to be well liked amongst our clients and their patients. They work really hard at was can be a very difficult job at times.
